Your Questions About Microsoft Publisher 2007 Free Download

John asks…

Product license key for microsoft publisher 2007?

ive downloaded a free trial because im not sure whether ornot to actually buy the software yet. It says i need a product key but it has given me one. Can anyone help?

admin answers:

You don’t need a product key until your free trial expires, then you have to buy the software to continue using it – and you get the key when you do.

Sharon asks…

i downloaded free version of publisher… but i cant edit?

i downloaded the 60 day trial version of microsoft publisher 2007. i can open the document that i am trying to edit, but the only things i can do with the object is zoom in and zoom out. how do i get to editing it?

admin answers:

I did the same thing for a government project, so i know this works. If you already have the document you need to edit, open it in publisher. Then open another publisher window. Open up the exact same type of document you started with. Delete anything you don’t want or need in the final document. Then go to your old document and group as many things together as you can and copy them into the new version. Then you’re ready to edit! (Just in case you don’t know how to group: you don’t need a certain type of mouse or tool, you simply create a box around everything you want in the group and when the little grouping icon appears (it looks like two small converging text boxes)somewhere in the right hand corner of the large box, click on it. This makes it alot faster and easier to get everything into your document the way you want it without having to start all over.)
Good luck!

Carol asks…

Can I undo a free trial of Microsoft Office Word 2007?

I downloaded a free trial of Microsoft Office, including Word 2007, Powerpoint, Publisher, etc. HOWEVER, it seems that Office Word 2007 has somehow taken the place of my original Microsoft Word program (I think 2002), and once my free trial expires, I won’t have any version of Word at all. How can they do this?!

I’ve tried system restore, but even then it says I have to have a CD to re-install Microsoft Word. Can I somehow undo the free trial so that I have my original Word program back again?

DETAILS: I have Windows Vista, and downloaded this free trial yesterday (9/23/2009)

admin answers:

You can try uninstalling the trial edition, but I don’t know if it will do what you’re looking for.

I’ve been suspicious for a while about the coexistability of two versions of Office.

Good luck.
