Sandy asks…
Microsoft Office (student + publisher)?
I recently bought a laptop and downloaded my last download of M.S. Office (student edition) on it. However, it does not seem to of downloaded and appears to be running on the free trial. My first question is how do I know for sure if it download?
I want to buy Publisher to make worksheets and such. However, if I did correctly download my M.S. Office 2007 student, could I download only Publisher, adding it to my already existing M.S. Office? I like my student edition, it just is missing the Publisher I need.
Finally, could my computer handle running two office programs if I had to add the professional (I believe that is the one with Publisher) to the student?
I use One Note a lot and it is only offered on the student edition. However, I also need the Publisher as well (which is not offered on the student edition). I don’t want to bog down my computer running student and professional (or one of the other two that have Publisher).
No, I know the trial is downloaded. The question I have is this; I have a laptop that had a trial on it. I didn’t want to use the trial. I wanted to just download my last copy of Office 2007 that I had bought earlier this year. I did that, and something didn’t seem right when I did it. Then when I open M.S. Office, it said I had to activate the trial, and it appears that I am running on the trial. So, now I wonder if I did something wrong when downloading. Should I of deleted the trial off my computer first? Is what I downloaded, actually installled, and how can I tell for sure?

Your new laptop has Microsoft office downloaded the student version although it is a free trial. When the trial runs out, you will still have Microsoft word installed but obviously you can’t use, unless its registered.
Yes you can, I was in the same position as you, you can download it here. Http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Microsoft-Office-Download-58321.html (click link and scroll down, publisher is on the right, click to download and install.
Yes, I currently have Microsoft office plus 2007 (comes with publisher) and home and student installed on my computer and its working perfectly.
Hope this helped.
